Okay, so I'll be the first person to admit that i've been neglecting my livejournal.  Life has been super busy lately and I haven't had time to do much more than post icons and stuff like that.  I also somewhat convince myself that I have nothing that interests anybody to post and end up just closing out of livejournal alltogether halfway through a post.

Anyways.  I'm in New Jersey at the moment, freezing my ass off.  The air conditioner in my hotel room is broken and won't turn off of high.  It sucks.  I'm here because tomorrow I have to go to a luncheon being held in my honor, because apparently I'm kind of a big deal.  I wish I was home though, mainly because my mother came here with me and is currently not shutting up at all!  There was ONE highlight though, and that was a conversation that went something like this...

MOM:  Do they have a restaurant in this hotel?  Just in case?
ME:  Just in case of what?  In case you get hungry later?
MOM:  That, and in case you know, Zombies come and they have to lockdown the hotel.
ME: ....

Like seriously.  What do you say to that?  I think maybe she saw an I am Legend commercial or something.  Hell, I HOPE she saw a commercial and that's why she was thinking of zombies.  Oh well.

In other news, last week I spontaneously ordered a display unit of Heroes Season 1 trading cards, all because I saw that there was a one in a million chance of getting an autographed Milo Ventimigla card in your pack.  They came yesterday, and I excitedly tore through 24 packs of trading cards.  I saw the silver foil of the authenticated Topps approved celebrity autograph and almost crapped my pants.  But then I realized it wasn't my loverpants Milo, it was Sendhil Biglongindiannameican'tspell.  Nice, but not what I wanted.  I wonder if it'll sell on ebay.

Speaking of Milo, did anybody catch his interview on TheMovieBlog.com?  He wants to work with Christian Bale.  He likes Batman.  HE WOULD CUT OFF HIS FINGER FOR A CHANCE TO PLAY NIGHTWING!  God I hope the people who cast the Batman movies caught that one.  I would orgasm for a year straight if Milo & Bale worked together.  The Pathology Redband trailer still has me going.

OOH!  And I finally managed to put up the Heroes moodtheme I got forever ago!

Anyways, it's time to go get all dressed and changed for dinner.  At a diner.  Yay New Jersey!

Yesterday the UNC Tarheels fell to the Georgetown Hoyas in Overtime.  I cried, literally, as the Tarheels have been my favorite NCAA Basketball team since I was eight years old.  Throughout the years, I have deviated to support the Maryland Terrapins, my school's team, but I still stay true to the Carolina Blue & White.  Moving back to my parents house has only proved my loyalty, as I'm faced with the shelves full of videos of UNC v. Duke matchups, ACC Tournament Games and NCAA tournament games from ever year since 1992 or so.  Yeah, I know, I'm a dork.  Anyways, the point of this is that the Heels lost yesterday and I was very very sad, therefore boycotted talking to a lot of people to wallow in my sorrows.

On the upside, I'm going to FINALLY see 300 in an hour with the parents.  My mom is convinced that they're going to botch up history.  My mom's side of the family is from Sparta, so yeah.  After that it's down to VA for basketball.

Also, one of my favorite people ever signed up for lj yesterday.  Can she guess who she is?  :P

I'm going to get my eyes checked tomorrow because I think I need glasses.  Hell, I know I need glasses, I'm blind like woah.
